Emergency Services

Emergency encashment services

We understand that accidents can happen, so we provide easy hassle-free encashment services to you and your family, should such an emergency arise. You can visit any one of the overseas HSBC branches to avail of emergency encashment services. With emergency encashment service, a sum of up to USD 2,000 can be borrowed and further amounts may be made available upon application and assessment by HSBC India. Funds will only be provided in countries/regions where HSBC is located and on submission of adequate identification (such as passport, HSBC Premier MasterCard® Credit Card or HSBC Premier Debit Card) and subject to available balance in the account. This service can be availed by only family members who are existing HSBC customers. Emergency encashment service is subject to local regulations, terms and conditions.

International Travel Insurance

HSBC Premier credit cardholders are covered for up to Rs. 1 crore in the event of loss of life in an air accident.

You will be covered for personal insurance which is an air accident policy and travel inconvenience insurance which includes missed connecting flight international cover, cover for loss of checked-in baggage (international) delayed flight cover (international), loss of passport / or travel documents cover, delayed baggage (International) as per the rules of the group insurance policy taken by HSBC India.

Who can apply?

To apply for HSBC Premier, check that you meet at least one of the following Premier eligibility criteria in India:

  • HSBC Premier Total Relationship Balance1 (TRB) criterion: Maintain a quarterly Total Relationship Balance (TRB) of INR4,000,000 (Rupees forty lakh only) OR
  • HSBC Premier salary criterion2: Maintain a salary account with a net monthly salary credit of INR300,000 (Rupees three lakh only) OR
  • HSBC Premier mortgage criterion (effective 01 Oct 2024)3: Avail a mortgage relationship of INR11,500,000 (Rupees one crore fifteen lakh only) and meet the Total Relationship Balance1 (TRB) criterion of INR 4,000,000 (Rupees forty lakh only) within 12 months from the date of first disbursement of the mortgage loan.

Premier global benefits:

  • Customers holding an active* Premier account in India, are entitled to Premier status in other countries where HSBC offers Premier, subject to terms and conditions of the other country
  • Customers holding an active* Premier account in another country, are entitled to enjoy Premier status in India
  • Specific Premier benefits in India including addition of family members (spouse, partners, and children up to the age of 30 years) will be made available only upon meeting the HSBC Premier eligibility criteria (defined above) in India who then can avail Premier benefits as part of the single Premier family relationship. Beyond the age of 30 years, any family member classified as "children" will need to individually meet the Premier eligibility criteria

*Active account is defined as an account with at least one transaction (debit and credit) in the last 12 months
